How much do you believe in Astrology?
I’m just curious because I see a lot of the same people on this forum (myself included) and it makes me wonder…how much do you guys REALLY put into astrology and your particular signs? I mean; for me, it’s interesting and entertaining but I don’t base my entire life or my decisions on my horoscope or my sign..If I did, I would have never married the person I married because according to astrology, we’re not really all that compatible (Capricorn and Leo)…I used to live next door to a women who refused to go grocery shopping on Wednesdays because her astrologist told her it was bad for her sign LOL..I mean, come on. That’s going a little overboard. How much do you really live by or believe your horoscope? Do you follow it daily or is it just an occasional thing for you?

I believe in astrology as much as I believe we are on planet Earth. I don’t believe in daily horoscopes, all they are are paragraphs and sentences of things you could relate to. I DO believe in the study of the planets and conjunctions and moon/sun to relate to your sign. They are very precise. So, to answer your question… I believe astrology is a way of life. A way of life that has dated back millions of years for many tribal cultures. It is very true.

i enjoy reading stuff about mine and my friends’ astrology. it kinda explains more about them for me. i don’t really like…LIVE by it. but it’s very interesting to me.
I believe in astrology so much I live by it.
I’m a Taurus
In your case Capricorn and Leo may work because you have compatible Venus (Love) signs, Rising, or even Moon. It really helps to know what else is included in your birth chart – you can’t base it solely off your Sun sign alone. Even your Chinese zodiac will come into play and it’s really the combination of everything that helps you know your overall compatibility and basic personality.
I’m very much into astrology myself, but based off my birth chart (all the combinations) and not the day-to-day horoscopes – because I can always change those. I could care less if Wednesdays are bad for me (or whatever day)…in my opinion that’s a mindset.
Maybe they can be challenging, but my outlook and focus will bring about the result (i.e. “The Secret”)
I am just like you, it is all entertainment. That is why this section is in the entertainment section. I have to admit that I have a lot in common with other pisceans in this section right down to the last detail. I do not live my life based upon astrology. People take it very seriously like your neighbor because of fear of the unknown. There is no fun in life if we don’t have a little mystery. There are people who want answers or they cannot function. I come here to help people and to see other perspectives. I also join the fun on goofy polls and go with the flow.
I don’t live by it but I use it sometimes. I don’t NOT make friends with people because we are incompatible, but I’m always thinking about people and their sign(s).
If it is true, why does it require blind belief, like a religion? Try to find one thing that astrology clearly does better than random chance. Or better than any possible alternative. You say that you can’t? The it is time to find something else that does.
